Last Monday was a perfect day for a walk outside the Barriere Curling Rink for young Dalia and her seven-month-old dog George.  Dalia, George and two other canine companions enjoyed playing in the warm sunshine, while under the watchful eyes of her mom.

Last Monday was a perfect day for a walk outside the Barriere Curling Rink for young Dalia and her seven-month-old dog George.  Dalia, George and two other canine companions enjoyed playing in the warm sunshine, while under the watchful eyes of her mom.

Two groups in two countries came together and raised more than $2,500 in Brian’s name

Other raffle winners were: Seal-A-Meal freezer packaging unit – Linda Underhill, T-Light Lantern set – Doug McGregor, and necklace and earring set – Doreen Livingstone.

The annual Christmas party for the Barriere’s Seniors Day Program provided a good time for all on Dec. 15.  Staff wore reindeer antlers, their was live music, sweet snacks, and Santa paid a visit.  This drop in service is run by Barriere Home Support on Mondays and Wednesdays, providing a place where folks can stop in for crafts, games, music and socialization.

The event was hosted jointly by the Barriere and District Seniors Society and the North Thompson Catholic Women’s League (CWL).  Proceeds from the dinner will be split 50/50 between the two groups, and the proceeds from the pie sale will go to the CWL.
