A 2003 Nissan Frontier pick-up ended up on its roof in the ditch just west of Lake Cowichan on South Shore Road on Dec. 31. RCMP were called to the scene and had to stop traffic in both directions while a tow truck pulled the overturned vehicle out of the ditch. The driver and owner of the vehicle was unharmed.
