A field trip that I will remember forever

While thinking about a topic for my editorial, I thought about pretty much everything. I came close to giving up when I suddenly remembered one of my classes in school last year. The class was Introduction to Communications and the teacher was one who thought outside the box. She often brought real world experiences into the class and showed us people from all walks of life.

A Golden College of the Rockies graduate is living out his dream in South America. Greg Snell, a graduate of the Adventure Tourism business Operations (ATBO) Program is currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina although he does not stay there long.

Life, death of Christ at United Church

Angus Stuart will be performing the Gospel of Mark at the St Andrews United Church and Centre for Peace on May 11 at 7 p.m. Stuart will be performing “Testament of a Naked Man”, a dramatization of the life and death of Jesus Christ. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 and only remaining tickets will be sold at the door, all proceeds will be donated to Reverend Emilie Smith and the Peace House in Guatemala.

Makayla Beam placed fifth overall at the gymnastics provincials on April 7th, 8th and 9th. Beam qualified for provincials by being in the top six in our zone.

Makayla Beam from the Kicking Horse Gymnastics Team has had great success this year placing fifth overall in provincials. Beam, 16, qualified for provincials by being one of the top six girls, score-wise, in our zone.
