The “rule of thirds” states that a photographer shouldn’t place the main focus of interest in the centre of the frame, but should place it on an intersection line, or very close to it, created by dividing the picture into a grid of thirds. This shot of Helmcken Falls in Wells Gray Park is a good example of using the “rule”.
