City of Campbell River to give half a million to community groups

The City of Campbell River will give out more than half a million dollars in grant monies to local groups that provide benefits to the community.

Remediation work on sensitive wetlands south of Jubilee Parkway is expected to be complete next year – nearly four years after their destruction first came to light.

Campbell River council split on funding plan to address affordable housing shortage

City councillors were split recently on whether or not to give money to the Strathcona Regional District for a plan aimed at addressing factors that contribute to homelessness.
