Four Williams Lake players have been playing for the Quesnel Wildfire lacrosse team in the Cariboo Central Interior Intermediate League.

Junior shooters take aim at Westerns

Williams Lake rifle shooters competed in the Junior F-Class at the Western Canadian Archery Championships in Chilliwack, B.C. June 27-29.

Western Canadian Archery junior team features seven Williams Lake shooters. They are Steven Skakun (left to right), Samantha Mcphee, Kyle Buell, Stephen Chipman, Justin Bond, Josh Novakowski, Zach Herrick, Thomas Pinchbeck, Dylan Bisson, Cassidy Chupa and Liam Buell.
The 26th Annual Vintage Flat Track races took place Saturday at O’Keefe Ranch just outside of Vernon, B.C. In honor of her late father, Dan, who was a stunt performer, 14-year-old Danielle Schultz of Williams Lake rode her vintage 125cc Kawasaki through a flaming wall to kick start the race.  This was the first time she had ever attempted the stunt in public. Onlookers were so proud of her success that she was asked to autograph remaining boards. She then went on and won the first 125cc class race.

The 26th Annual Vintage Flat Track races took place Saturday at O’Keefe Ranch just outside of Vernon, B.C. In honor of her late father, Dan, who was a stunt performer, 14-year-old Danielle Schultz of Williams Lake rode her vintage 125cc Kawasaki through a flaming wall to kick start the race.
