'Many Victorians know all about the Swiftsure race, one of the highlights of the May long weekend each year,' said Alex Fox, Lipton Cup Race Director for 2011. 'But most Victorians are probably unaware of the Lipton Cup, a sailing race that dates all the way back to 1914. It's a prestigious prize and boats from all over the Pacific Northwest come here to race for the opportunity to have their names attached to a trophy with a great sailing history.' The Lipton Cup trophy race is organized and hosted by the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.
