The legacy of Jet Fuel IPA by Ace Brewing Co. continues to grow.

For the second straight year, the Courtenay brewery’s signature India pale ale has medalled at the Canadian Brewing Awards.

Jet Fuel IPA won a bronze at the recent awards. In 2020, it won a silver medal.

“We are humbled and ecstatic to win a Canadian Brewing Award for our west coast IPA for a second year in a row,” said Jo-Anne Landolt, of Ace Brewing Company. “The Canadian Brewing Awards is a highly competitive competition with hundreds of breweries submitting beers each year from all across Canada. The competition is a blind tasting by highly trained and respected judges. For Jet Fuel to win in consecutive years is a testament to the beer, the quality ingredients used and the meticulous attention to detail by our brewers.

“Thanks to our loyal customers that have bought in to this beer since the beginning and supported us. We look forward to many more Jet Fuel’s being enjoyed in our taproom and beyond for many years to come.”

B.C. breweries took home a total of 40 medals at the annual event.

Other Vancouver Island breweries that took home hardware included double winners Moon Under Water Brewpub, Twin City Brewing, as well as Canoe Brewpub, White Sails Brewing, Sooke Brewing Co., Sooke Oceanside Brewery, Dog Mountain Brewing, and Phillips Brewing.

“Congratulations to all the other winners, particularly our fellow Vancouver Island breweries,” said Landolt.
