BCAA office in Langford to close for good

All West Shore employees to be relocated to other offices

The British Columbia Automobile Association’s office in Millstream Village in Langford is closing its door on June 18.

Linda Bowyer, BCAA senior vice president and chief member experience officer, said the decision to close was a difficult one.

The location, which has been open for more than nine years, has not been viable for many years and has not covered its operational costs, Bowyer said. The decision was made now because the lease due for renewal, she added.

“We are aware of the population growth in the area,” Bowyer noted. “We are  surprised and disappointed the traffic and membership did not meet the growth.”

All employees at the Millstream Village office will continue to work for BCAA at other branches, with the majority moving to the Broadmead and Hillside locations.

“We appreciate the loyalty of our employees and customers,” Bowyer said. “We want to serve as many members as we can across B.C. and hope they will continue with us online, by phone or through our member contact centre.”
