Best Western Kelowna relaunches hotel and restaurant

The pub will be reverting back to its old name, the 97 Street Pub, while the restaurant will soon be renamed the Cornerstone Grill.

Best Western Plus Kelowna Hotel and Suites took over its on-site restaurant and pub earlier this month under mysterious circumstances, and they’re now officially open for business.

The pub will be reverting back to its old name, the 97 Street Pub, while the restaurant will soon be renamed the Cornerstone Grill.

The two businesses were unexpectedly taken from their tenants the Revival Group earlier this month. Since Nov. 2014,  it had been running the Italian Table and Fleetwood Public House at the hotel location.

The Revival Group is owned by Jason and Michelle Troll. Under the Revival umbrella are Pilgrim & Pearl and cocktail lounge 27, which opened March 2015.  Twisted Tomato was also one of their properties. It burned down in January of 2014.

To relaunch the hotel’s restaurant and pub there will be two events:

On  Christmas Day Even Cornerstone Grill will be celebrating  by providing a fabulously festive menu. Featuring a three course menu with three options for the main: Traditional Turkey Dinner, Merlot-Braised Short Rib, and Seafood Wellington. The holiday feast will be available from 4PM – 8PM and reservations are recommended.

97 Street Pub will be kicking off the New Year with musical entertainer, Jimmy LeGuilloux. This Canadian artist will be performing live starting at 9 p.m. Guests can sit back and enjoy while munching on midnight snacks, participate in a champagne toast, or party under the balloon drop. Guests will also have a chance to win some exciting prizes from the balloon drop!
