Brewmaster Daniel Sharratt, proprietor of the Gladstone Brewing Company along with his wife Alexandra Stephanson, is planning to open a micro-brewery at 244 Fourth St. in downtown Courtenay. A proposal for a brewery lounge will come before Courtenay council Monday, Sept. 8. If endorsed, patrons will be allowed to drink beer in a lounge area on the manufacturing site.
