The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria (CACGV) presents The Business of Art Workshop on Sunday, June 21 at the Victoria College of Art (1625 Bank St.).
This one-day event will include a series of short workshops and panel discussion designed to help launch artists to the next level in their career. Each session is chock-full of real life, practical examples that focus on what artists need to know to be successful.
Workshop topics include: Lets Talk: Art Panel Discussion/Q&A: (Carollyne Yardley, Mark Heine, Phyllis Serota and Nancy Slaght – moderator Stephanie Eisenbraun), Creating a Dynamic and Affordable Website: Artsites.ca (owners and creators Rochelle Grayson and Geoff Meredith), Social Media Marketing (Robyn Quinn), Gallery Protocol/Bio’s/CV’s/ Portfolio (Yvonne Owens).
Sessions begin at 11:00 am and run until 4:00 pm. Registration is available at cacgv.ca or on Eventbrite.ca listed as “Business of Art Workshop”. CACGV members pay $20, non-members $35, and lunch is included. Space is limited. For more information, email coordinator@cacgv.ca or visit cacgv.ca.
The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria was established in 1968 and is a registered charity. All funds from this event will be dedicated to delivering arts programs in the community.
