Surfrider Foundation hosts paddle out
On June 20, Business owners, recreationalists, ocean enthusiasts and people passionate about the marine environment will gather at Cadboro-Gyro Beach for a massive paddle out for clean water and to highlight the need for sewage treatment.
The action starts at 10 a.m. down at the beach. Surfrider Vancouver Island will have a kiosk on the beach with stand up paddle boards (SUP) available to the public, for rent by donation until 3 p.m. Suggested donation is $10 for a BBQ. Chiropractor moves to Royal Oak
The Murray Chiropractic Group in Royal Oak is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Cummings to the Saanich clinic. Dr. Cummings has relocated his Chiropractic practice which was previously in the Western Communities.
Dr. Cummings was born and raised in Victoria and has always been an active member in the sport and volunteer communities of Victoria. Most recently, he has been dedicating time coaching soccer for Victoria West and providing Chiropractic treatment for Easter Seals running events.
Dr. Cummings brings a diverse group of the most current treatment techniques and modalities to the Murray Chiropractic Group which also possesses a state of the art rehabilitation facility and is associated with the National Rowing Association.

Atria Retirement welcomes directors
Welcome to Saanich, Jake Pelletier and Nicole Evans, new Executive Directors for Atria Retirement Canada at the Victorian on Feltham and the Victorian at McKenzie. Jake and Nicole were both born and raised in B.C. and are happy to be returning home after two years away managing retirement properties in Regina and Saskatoon. There is no place like home to improve the lives of seniors.
Jake and Nicole built strong community ties in Saskatchewan and worked alongside the medical field, as well as assisted and advised city council on ways to better the operations for government-funded seniors housing. They look forward to helping in any way they can to strengthen the ties with seniors in Victoria.
