In the never ending battle of cellular phone vs. concrete, concrete remains undefeated.

Ash Simpson opened Cell Werx, a cell phone repair business, Feb. 1 on Vernon’s 30th Avenue.

“Everybody breaks their phone. There are more and more phones on the market every year,” he said.

Cell Werx does most of its repairs on cracked screens, and it fixes cell phones, tablets and computers; any make or model.

All repairs are done in store under an hour.

It also repairs damaged USB ports inside the phone.

Even phones that have gone for a swim are fixable here.

“Most people stick their wet phones in rice to dry them out. We fix 75 per cent of phones regardless of how wet they got,” said Simpson.

“The sooner we get our hands on the phone the better.”

Cell Werx can unlock phones for customers who are switching phones or for when they leave the country.

Simpson is also in the phone safety business.

Cell Werx offers a variety of phone cases to help prevent external damage.

Simpson also has a business in Kelowna.
