Victoria resident Bob Skene has been selected this year’s recipient of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement award.
“We strive to recognize excellence in business and Bob is being recognized for a lifetime of excellence,” said Bruce Carter, chamber of commerce CEO.
Skene has achieved significant business success and given back to the community in many ways including his involvement at Royal Roads University, VIATec and the chamber to name a few.
A chartered accountant, Skene will be presented his award during the chamber’s annual Greater Victoria Business Awards on April 24 at the Fairmont Empress.
Other awards to be presented include business leadership, new business, innovation, outstanding customer service, business of the year, sustainable business practices, employer of the year, business person of the year, young entrepreneur of the year and employee of the year.
Tickets for the event go on sale Monday (March 3).
