In the 2012 election for the Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union board of directors, current mayor Nancy Cooper gets a spot on the board and former mayor Marty Bootsma doesn’t. Election results were announced on Thursday, May 3 at the credit union’s annual general meeting.
Running for three open seats on the nine-member board were incumbents Cooper and Frank Popien as well as newcomers Bootsma, John Schlosar and Robin Wiens.
Elected were Cooper, Popien and Schlosar. Also on the board are Brad Armstrong, Richard Chmilar, Glenn Hill, Laura Nyeste, Curtis Olson and June Stewart.
