Trout Waters Fly & Tackle has moved to new premises at 101-2340 Highway 97, next to the Enterprise Way firehall.
Initially started by Savas Koutsantonis in 1995 in West Kelowna, Nick Pace joined Trout Waters and became a business partner in 2003. Formerly on Enterprise Way, the duo have now moved into new 3,300 square-foot premises with six employees. Trout Waters specializes in all types of fishing equipment, from fly fishing to salmon fishing. The store also offers small watercraft, including kick boats, pontoon boats, inflatable kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Trout Waters has a great selection of boating accessories along with outdoor and travel clothing and mustang PFDs. Trout Waters is also Kelowna’s only Patagonia’s outdoor clothing store. Fezziwigs Bakery and Café has opened a third location at 101-2365 Gordon Dr. in Guisachan Village, next to Paul’s Produce. Owned and operated by Colin and Ann Broomfield, they opened their first location at 15-605 KLO Rd. (next to TD/Canada Trust in the Mission Park Shopping Centre) and then opened a second location at Okanagan College. Karen Hawes, assistant vice-president, human resources for Interior Savings, has been promoted to vice-president, human resources. Hawes was also the president of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce for two terms.

Summerhill Pyramid Winery has been asked to recall some of their wines due to labeling concerns. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the wine, says Ezra Cipes, CEO of Summerhill, it was just the labeling. The wine is labeled as organic and the Pacific Agricultural Certification Society, their certifiers have determined these wines are not eligible for organic wine label designation. It was because of the yeast they have been using for the past several years. The wine will be relabelled to read “made with organic grapes” rather than organic wine and will be re-released. Goodbye Graffiti, owned and operated by Jeff and Sharon Smith, is a large graffiti removal contractor in Canada. Last December, I wrote about the new LacQit One Stop Gel Polish Kits for use in your own home, launched by local owner and founder Nanci Spencer. Had a chat with Rob Horner, owner of Treehouse Interiors at 1901 Windsor Rd., regarding their major renovations, which were started in mid-January. They are adding a second floor, which will enhance the space with an additional 7,000 to 8,000 square feet and an elevator for access to the second level. Glenmore Gallery, owned and operated by John Kenzie, has relocated his gallery from the Glenmore Shopping Centre, where he was located for eight years, to his home-base at 175 Cariboo Rd., still in Glenmore. Kenzie has been doing framing for the past 20 years and was one of the first to have computerized mat cutting in the valley. He is still custom framing all aspects of art work, posters and prints, and has now added horoscope framing, which includes a good variety of any size, shape, colour, glass, fonts and wording. He stopped by to show me a few of the horoscope framing pieces and any of you horoscope buffs out there will really be impressed with his work.
