Paul Keam is putting his years of experience behind the wheel back to work as a driving instructor.
Keam is now available as a driving instructor, contracted to Salmon Arm Direct Drive Driver Training, run by Lisa Bennett. Paul’s Professional Driver Training Services is based in Sicamous, but will serve surrounding communities.
Keam said he decided to become an instructor after a friend suggested he put his 44 years behind the wheel of big trucks to use.
“I’ve been at this since last June, getting my instructor certificates and everything,” said Keam.
The training/certification process proved instructional for Keam, giving him an opportunity to brush up on his own skills.
“Becoming an instructor, you learn a lot more than you think you know, which is really nice, because now I know what I should have known and now I are smarter,” laughs Keam.
