Former deputy premier and minister of finance Kevin Falcon – now executive vice-president of Anthem Capital – has been appointed by federal cabinet order as a board member of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is an independent, not-for-profit think tank, devoted to improving Canada’s ties to Asia, and promoting dialogue on economic, security, political and social issues.

Falcon, the former MLA for Surrey-Cloverdale, spent 12 years in senior cabinet with the B.C. Liberals and is the former minister responsible for spearheading the Asia Pacific file.

“I’m honored to be appointed to the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s board. I hope to apply my public and private sector experience to help foster informed decision-making specific to improving Canada’s relations with Asia,” said Falcon. ‘This is a critical relationship for our country’s economy.”
