Once known as the radio station that played the light favourites of yesterday and today, 107.5 Kiss FM (CKIZ-FM) has relaunched itself as Vernon’s best music.

The station now features an updated, lively sound thanks to a playlist that focusses on familiar core artists.

“We’re committed to playing nothing but the best of the best from the ‘60s to today,” said Bruce Davis, general manager.

“This is the best music from the artists that strike great memories from our listeners, like the Rolling Stones, Journey, U2 and Michael Jackson, as well as the best new adult contemporary music, like Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.”

Re-launched on the B.C. Day long weekend, Kiss FM celebrated the new changes by airing the best 1,075 songs ever.

“Key department heads and the management team at 107.5 Kiss FM did a detailed analysis of the station and concluded that in order to stay current and relevant in the community, it was necessary to rebrand the station,” said Rick Arnish, president of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group. “Our team has really done a great job and I commend them for their commitment to total team involvement.”

Kiss FM continues its local first branding as it strives for excellence in news, information and service to the Vernon area.

“Our listeners depend on us for more than just the great music we play. Our local news, as well as regular updates including weather, traffic, sports and extensive community event coverage is what makes keeps our listeners tuned in,” said Davis.

KISS FM broadcasts in Enderby at 93.9, and is member of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, which operates 29 FM stations, as well as three independent television stations in B.C. and Alberta.
