On Tuesday the Kootenay Co-Op is once again holding its community donation day at its Baker Street store. Every third Tuesday of the month the grocery store donates one per cent of its daily earnings to a worthy community organization. On Tuesday it will be the Nelson Electric Tramway Society that benefits. Earlier this week Walt Laurie from the tramway society visited the store to meet with the Co-op’s Jocelyn Carver. Laurie and other society volunteers will set up a booth in front of the store and hope all those who value the historic Streetcar 23 will come to shop at the Co-op.
