A longtime White Rock business owner who will close her store’s doors at the end of this month isn’t leaving without a party.
Laura Shaw of Laura’s Fashion Fabrics – open in White Rock since 1978 – is planning a customer thank-you party for March 18.
Set for 1-3 p.m. at the 1552 Johnston Rd. store, the afternoon affair is an opportunity to drop in and chat, staffer Linda Neufeld said. Refreshments will be provided, she added.
Shaw told Peace Arch News last Wednesday that the event is more of a a “till we meet again” party than a goodbye.
After closing March 31, she plans to take a few months off, then “regroup” to determine how best to share her passion for sewing with the community.
Her website, laurasfashionfabrics.com, will remain live, she noted.
Everyone is welcome to the March 18 event.
