The Abbotsford Downtown Business Association (ADBA) elected new executives and members to its board of directors during its recent annual general meeting.

Dave Algra was elected to serve as president while Stefan Ferrario was chosen to serve as vice-president. Lily Ellis and Randy Ferrario were elected to serve as secretary and treasurer, respectively. Paul McLeod will remain as part of the board’s executive as past president.

“This is an exciting time for the ADBA and the downtown in general,” said Algra. “The recent funding announcement for the Jubilee Park revitalization and the growing population of downtown Abbotsford are strong indicators of success for our historic downtown core.”

The ADBA thanked past board members Adam Wormald, Elisa Robertson, Tyler Duft, and Sophia Suderman for their service. Joining the board as new members are Lily Ellis of Spruce Collective and Randy Ferrario of Aprario Development Inc.

The 15 board members represent over 300 business and property owners in the historic downtown region of Abbotsford.

Other members of the current board include Gerry Palmer, Asger Hansen, Marilyn Paller, Steve Yap, Ronda Calder, Sam Sadana, Jordana Patterson, Barb Colnar, Larry Loewen and Bob Bos.
