New branch manager for Envision in Newton

Cloverdale resident brings wealth of experience.

Envision Financial has appointed Gurbinder Mander to lead its Newton Branch, located at #122—7322 King George Blvd.Originally from England, Mander studied Pharmacology at DeMontfort University in Leicester before moving to Canada in 1990. Soon after he began working at a major Canadian chartered bank and discovered a new passion for the financial services industry. Since joining Envision in 1997, Mander has held a number of progressively senior roles; most recently, he was assistant branch manager at Newton, where he helped the branch achieve Envision’s highest member satisfaction rates.Now as branch manager, Mander looks forward to becoming more involved in the local community and increasing Envision’s exposure in Surrey.“It’s an incredibly diverse city, and we’re working hard to build relationships with the residents here,” explains Mander. “That means offering banking services in a number of languages and becoming more involved in ethnic business associations and the Surrey Board of Trade.
