We have lots of exciting events coming up on the West Shore to keep you and your family busy and entertained.
Shrek The Musical continues at the Isabelle Reader Theatre through Sunday (May 31), so get your tickets early at fsmtheatre.ca for the remaining performances. The Goldstream Station Market is open again at Veterans Memorial Park, Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and starting July 8 on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Most produce is grown locally and is as fresh as you can get.
Tomorrow (May 30) the Community Garage Sale takes over Juan de Fuca curling rink at Westshore Parks and Recreation. Vendor tables are available for $25 and the sale runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sell your crafts, household items, collectables and more and find some bargains along the way.
New to the Goldstream Village Mall near Western Foods is Coastal Community Credit Union. They are hosting a grand opening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Along with a cake cutting at 11:30 a.m., they’ll have prizes, giveaways and a chance to win free flower delivery for a year, a prize that fits well with their “growing roots” theme for the day.
Exceptional Wealth Management is moving into a new office on the Westshore next door to their current location. Their new address will be 111-785 Station Rd. in Langford and they can be reached at 250-590-8481.
Next month, the Westshore Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer will be hosted June 10 at Farley Martin Notaries Public, located at 2871 Jacklin Rd. Feel free to bring a guest, as the Chamber will waive its $15 fee for guests that evening. If you’d like to volunteer with the Chamber, contact executive director Julie Lawlor at jlawlor@westshore.bc.ca.
The Westshore Chamber is also hosting a special coffee talk on June 4 with the City of Colwood at city hall, 3300 Wishart Rd. from 7:30 to 9 a.m. This is a great opportunity to learn about initiatives the City is considering to make it easier and more affordable to do business in Colwood.
On June 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Anglican Church of the Advent at 510 Mount View Rd. in Colwood hosts their annual Craft Fair and Strawberry Tea. There will be a variety of crafts on sale, along with home baking. Fresh strawberry shortcake, with a beverage, will be served. Admission to the craft fair is free and the facility is wheelchair accessible.
