Parksville Downtown Business Association appoints officers for 2021, 2022

New president, vice-president and secretary-treasurer named

The Parksville Downtown Business Association (PDBA) board of directors has appointed its officers for 2021 and 2022.

The new officers are president Sandy Herle, Close to You Ladies Fashion and Lingerie; vice-president Nicole Thomas, RBC Royal Bank; and secretary-treasurer Michelle Jones, Timberlake-Jones Engineering.

Other directors elected to the PDBA board at its recent annual general meeting are Carol Ormiston, Parksville Home Hardware; and Greg Sabo, Sabo, Jang & Co. Ltd.

They join continuing directors Tami Frankford, Island Cleaning Supplies; Terry Kerr, Bayview Strata & Rental Services; and Permelia Parham, Vibrational Healing.

The PDBA administers Parksville’s downtown business improvement area and includes programs such as group marketing and promotion campaigns including a new corporate video, online business directory, downtown youth ambassadors, seasonal lighting, street banners, downtown walking map, façade improvement and security grants, and other placemaking projects and partnerships.
