PARKSVILLE — After greening up lawns throughout central Vancouver Island, the local owner of Nutri-Lawn is ready for his next challenge: retirement.

Kevin McGuinness has sold the local lawn care franchise to Jayson Seymour who moves to the Island from Quesnel.

“We’ve really enjoyed helping homeowners improve and enjoy their lawns but now it’s time to take a little time off,” wrote McGuinness in a media release.

Since opening the Parksville location in 2000, Nutri-Lawn has built a solid client base from Ladysmith to Comox, due in no small part to the dedication and hard work of the staff.

“I’ve always had great people and I’m pleased for Jayson that my production crew is staying on.”

While they expect to spend more time travelling with their RV, Kevin and his wife Jennifer are remaining in the Parksville area.

“It’s become our home. The people and the climate are terrific.”
