Jennifer Damron, of Jennifer Damron Photography, is a well-known photographer from Winnipeg who is looking forward to establishing herself in the Valley.

Born and raised in Manitoba, she is married and has three children. She says the natural beauty of Vancouver Island has captivated her.

“The Comox Valley is a photographer’s dream location with many amazing photo ops. I’ve already discovered a few gems which can be seen on my website and blog,” she explained.

As far back as she can remember, photography has always been her passion.

“I was known as the kid with a camera in her pocket. Soon friends and then friends of friends were asking me to capture their special events,” she said. “As my own family grew, I’ve realized more and more how important it is to record each cherished moment.  I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true what they say; if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life.”

The essence of Damron’s photography is about candid expressions and an overall fresh, creative style.

“The time I’ve spent behind the camera has taught me, if you want to capture who people truly are, it’s important to help them feel at ease. When this happens what appears on paper is pure magic.”

To celebrate the grand opening of Jennifer Damron Photography, Damron is offering  $25 off a basic photo session fee plus a free 8×10-inch photo print. For those getting married, she is offering the choice of $200 off their basic photo package or a free canvas mount of their favorite photo (8×10 or 10×10).

“I’m looking forward to showing my clients what’s new in the world of photography.  With the wide range of products available, some very affordable up to new high-end custom photo albums, I like to think I have something to suit each individual taste and budget,” Damron said.

She notes the Comox Valley offers some great opportunities for small businesses.

“I’m really enjoying the Island lifestyle and even though it’s been a tough haul for many of us the last few years, I’m upbeat about what our future has in store,” Damron explained.
