Predator Ridge has been recognized by The Globe and Mail as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada.

Vernon’s Predator Ridge is a great place to play golf, live and vacation.

It’s also a pretty cool place to work.

Predator Ridge has been recognized by The Globe and Mail as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada.

The award involves companies in all categories and regions with total employees between 49 and 999.

“We have long established a strong leadership position as a premier resort development and having now been recognized nationally as an employer has established great pride within our team and community” said Brad Pelletier, vice-president Okanagan for Predator Ridge’s parent company Wesbild Holdings Ltd.

Best Workplaces Program is a global franchise with a presence in 46 countries and is produced in conjunction with prestigious media partners such as The Globe and Mail, the Financial Times and Fortune.

“We are one of the largest employers in the region and recognize that our own special culture is one of the things that sets us apart,” said Pelletier. “I have worked in many of the largest centres in Canada and have consistently stated that we have an all-star team assembled right here in the Okanagan.

“We are in an industry category that has traditionally had high turnover, but of our more than 300 employees, we have  a 70 per cent-plus return rate amongst our seasonal staff, and last year we had a 96 per cent satisfaction rating.”

The honour is the latest in a growing number of awards for the resort.

“Out of all the awards we have received at Predator Ridge, I value this award more than any other as it demonstrates our commitment to our principal asset,” said Pelletier.

Predator Ridge is one of only two Okanagan-based companies recognized this year, and the only one in its industry category for medium-sized businesses. It is a 1,200-acre award-winning development that boasts 12 kilometers of natural wooded preserves ideal for hiking and biking.
