Local sign company SignWave Designs has just invested in the latest large format digital printing technology. At nearly eight feet wide, the Roland printer/cutter produces sharp full-colour images and offers unlimited design possibilities for banners, sandwich boards, contour-cut decals and labels, vehicle graphics, trade show displays, and just about any sign imaginable. Barbara’s Boutique is getting a spring makeover. Proprietor Barbara Hubbard will suspend operations at the anchor shop at the corner of Fifth and Beacon in Sidney, the last week of January, and move operations down the street to Barbara’s Boutique II Showroom at 104-9840 Fifth Street. Barbara’s, and sister store Baden-Baden, carry distinctive European and North American glamour and everyday fashion collections. Peninsula sweets lovers are looking forward to the opening of Lolly Gobble Sweet Shop, Inc. Owner Ann Roche operates the family business and will offer a traditional candy store experience, complete with friendly service. Expect to see novelty candy, organic candy and chocolate, sugar free candy and chocolate, British sweets, Dutch and Finnish licorice, jelly bellies, salt water taffy and 17 flavours of ganache. Ann is also the franchisee for Candy Bouquet, a delicious alternative to flowers.
