A 2.9 magnitude quake shook the region Tuesday morning, originating in the waters by Cowichan Bay and Salt Spring Island.
The quake was at 6:47 a.m. according to Natural Resources Canada.
It was felt in Duncan, Salt Spring Island, Ladysmith, Cowichan Bay, Chemainus and Richmond.
The latitude was 48.9 north and a 123.5 west latitude.
This quake occurs exactly a week since a 3.2 under the waters near San Juan Island and felt in Victoria.
The quakes were not strong enough to cause any damage.
