The Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre will re-open at 2711 Island Highway West on April 4. After renovations and updating, the visitor centre and chamber of commerce will be sharing the space and greeting spring and summer visitors to the area.
At the beginning of February the visitor centre was closed to carry out interior renovations and visitor services were covered at the downtown chamber of commerce located on Second Avenue.
Island Home Style Repair’s Jarret Vanstone worked with chamber staff to re-design the visitor centre to make the interior more energy efficient and to create a space that both welcomes tourists and serves the needs of the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Those renovations are now complete and the setting up of the new space has begun. Evelyn Clark, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre wished to thank the chamber members and community for their support.
“Without loyal members like RE/MAX Anchor Realty, Master Lawn Maintenance, Dolly’s Home Hardware, United Floors, AGS, Lori Molchan Design and Arrowsmith Moving and Storage we would not have been able to accomplish this major project so easily or within our budget. We really want to acknowledge their generosity and contributions.”
Oura Giakoumakis, Chair of the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce commented, “We are really excited about our united location and hope to be in-house on the beach by Monday, April 4. At which point we will be inviting all of you down for coffee and cookies for our grand opening on Friday, April 15 from 1–3 p.m.
