Anita Crosina has been the owner/manager of Crosina Realty since taking over the company from her father, Roy Crosina, in 1998.
Anita and Roy started the company together in 1978 with one other realtor, Clarence Moore on staff.
At one bustling point in Williams Lake’s growth history Crosina Realty employed 17 people. Today the company employs six people, Anita says.
Anita didn’t start out to be a realtor. After graduation she worked for three years at the Bank of Montreal and then four years at the Robinson’s Department Store, where Hub International Barton Insurance is located today.
“It’s been very interesting, rewarding and frustrating at the same time,” Anita says of the real estate business.
“On the whole it has been very rewarding to work with people, helping them to find what they want and seeing them happy in their new home.”
She says first time home buyers are amazing.
“When you hand them the keys to their first home they are so excited,” Anita says. “It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.”
Anita has also been a volunteer with the Williams Lake Stampede for 25 years and enjoys helping with various Rotary functions.
She also has a passion for travel, anywhere that the sun is shining and there is water.
Anita also takes a keen interest in local history, having ancestors on both sides of her family who settled in the valley as far back as the 1800s.
