Rona hosts bike swap on Saturday

Event is a fundraiser for Okanagan chapter of the MS Society of Canada.

The inaugural Rona MS Bike Swap takes place Saturday, March 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kelowna store, 1711 Springfield Rd.

The event will benefit the Okanagan chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

Bicycles to be sold can be dropped off at Rona today anytime between 3 and 8 p.m.

The experts at Fresh Air will be available to help you price your bicycle for sale and provide support to the purchasers.

Besides the bike swap, Saturday’s event will also include a barbecue sponsored by M&M Meats and a performance from the music band My Kind Of Karma.

MS Society volunteers will also be on hand to register interested participants for the annual MS Bike Tour fundraiser to take place Sept. 14 and 15, and to sell raffle tickets for the prize of a Norco bike and a helmet. Second prize is a gift certificate to the House of Rose Winery. The raffle draw will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
