Sales expert to speak at WBN meeting

The Comox Valley Women’s Business Network hosts a Thursday meeting in Courtenay.

The Comox Valley Women’s Business Network is hosting the top five skills in sales and customer service. Their guest speaker has been in the sales and marketing industry for the past 30 years. He’s been a radio and TV personality, and sold products and services including life insurance, real estate and advertising.

After a successful management career training salespeople for his employers, Dave Warawa decided to start his own sales and customer service company called Prosalesguy Training.

He works with business owners, managers and salespeople in B.C. and Alberta to increase revenues, confidence and ability to increase repeat business, referrals and renewals. Warawa has helped hundreds of business owners achieve advertising, marketing and sales success.

Warawa feels the sales industry and profession has a bad image. Rightfully so. Far too many salespeople and managers have a personal agenda — to sell you something. They spend too much time talking and selling you on the benefits of products and services that you don’t need and want.

Smart Salespeople focuses its efforts on you by asking questions and getting to know your real needs by helping you make the right purchase. That’s how you get repeat business and referrals.

Warawa feels sales is not rocket science — it’s about listening and having the integrity for the best interests of customers. If you take care of them, they will take care of your business.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Best Western on Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay.
