What would you scoop up, if you had 2,016 seconds to spend $2,016 in a bunch of different businesses around Langley?
In an effort to promote shopping local this summer, The Langley Advance has kicked off a fun local shopping spree contest, explained advertising manager Peggy O’Brien.
There are 34 participating businesses that have jumped on board with the $2,016 shopping spree, and more wish they’d had the opportunity to be part of the contest, O’Brien elaborated.
“It promotes shopping local… let’s keep everyone in our community this summer, and in turn make one local resident very happy. We’re giving them a fun shopping spree, who wouldn’t love that?” she said.
Entering is easy.
Visit any of the 34 participating merchants and fill out a ballot. People are limited to one entry per location, and entrants must be 19 years of age or older. No purchase is required.
The contest closes Aug. 11, and the winner’s name will be drawn on Aug. 12.
The winner will then be taken, by limo, on a shopping spree.
“How much fun will that be?” she added.
They have 2,016 seconds (that’s 33.6 mutes) to shop at a minimum of 10 of the participating businesses, O’Brien said.
