The South Cariboo Chamber Of Commerce (SCCC) is hosting the 21st Annual Business Excellence Awards Dinner at the 100 Mile Community Hall on April 11.
Executive director Shelly Morton says tickets are going fast for the always popular black-tie gala awards dinner.
“There are 20 tables of eight and I already have four tables sold [as of Feb. 23]. People can get them at the Chamber office, Andre’s Electronics, Donex or TIMBER MART.”
A big change this year will see the final selections happen at the Business Excellence Awards Dinner, she explains.
“We are doing the voting a little differently this year … the top 4 nominees for each category will actually be voted on at the dinner.”
Morton notes the top nominees will be announced in the 100 Mile House Free Press in early March.
The 2014 Citizen of the Year will also be honoured at the awards dinner.
She encourages folks to bring a non-perishable food item when they buy their ticket, which will give them $5 off the price.
Otherwise, tickets are $45, or purchase a table of eight for $300.
Along with the dinner and awards presentations, there will also be a silent auction, 50/50 draw and “treasure chest” draw.
Meanwhile, Morton reminds everyone there is time to cast votes for the Business Excellence Awards and for Citizen of the Year – until Feb. 28.
