A South Surrey interior designer was honoured with a regional design award for her work with a local orthodontic office last month.
Linda Sale received first place in the small design firm category for her work with South Surrey Smiles – located in the Grandview Business Centre – at the 14th-Annual Northwest Design Awards hosted by the Seattle Design Centre on March 7.
Sale, who has more than 35 years of experience with interior design, said a number of factors led to the fresh, contemporary design she created for the dental office.
“My client has patients at seven years old and then she has people who come in who are 70 years old, so we had to appeal to a huge age group,” Sale explained. “We used clean and simple architecture but with whimsy and pops of colour.”
Awards were handed out to several designers in a variety of categories.
