Spring Home Show this weekend in Colwood

West Shore Parks and Recreation will be transformed to showcase everything home related

If you’re thinking about tackling some renovations, find your living space boring or can’t stand the thought of using your outdoor area for enjoyment. This weekend’s event should leave you feeling inspired to work or armed with a professional to help you get the job done.

Celebrating its 33rd anniversary, the Spring Home Expo returns to West Shore Parks and Recreation, 1767 Island Hwy., this weekend.

“We are confident that the show will be the ultimate one-stop shop for [Greater] Victoria home owners, offering the newest decorating, designing, renovation, building, and home improvement experts,” said show manager Darcy Hope.

Continuing tradition, attendees can get up close and personal with experts in home improvements, renovations, decor, design, outdoor living spaces and much more.

The Colwood-based event will transform the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre and The Q Centre, with more than 280 exhibits showcasing just about everything home-related, including some show-only displays and fun gadgets.

Taking place from April 20 to 22, this event is produced by Parksville-based Evergreen Exhibitions Ltd., which puts on 18 annual events on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

This three-day show is expected, according to organizers, to generate an estimated $2 million annually for Greater Victoria businesses.

The show runs from 1 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free.
