Jak's beer and wine store is donating a portion of sales to local food banks Saturday

If you’re looking to restock your liquor cabinet this weekend, JAK’s Beer Wine and Spirits is donating a portion of their sales on Saturday.

The liquor store is donating 10 per cent of all sales to local food banks in the third year of their JAK’s Gives Back fundraiser.

During the first year of JAK’s Gives Back, $20,107 was donated to food banks in communities served by JAK’s.

In 2020, during the pandemic where food banks saw a significant increase in usage, JAK’s customers supported food banks in need with a $25,137 donation.

JAK’s is located in Penticton at 162–211 Main St. and will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. tomorrow.

Donations to food banks are given in the areas they are collected.

Communities supported by JAK’s Gives Back are Penticton, as well as Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster, Richmond, Coquitlam and Campbell River.
