Tam resigns as CEO of SUCCESS

Dennis Chan, Chair of the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Board of Directors, announced today that Thomas Tam has submitted his resignation as CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. effective June 15, 2012.

“The decision to leave is a personal one and it has been difficult, says Tam, “but after two decades with one organization, it is time to move on and explore new opportunities. It has been an honour to have been part of such a dedicated and committed team of professional staff and volunteers.”

“During his 20 years with S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Thomas has contributed significantly to the growth of this organization, both as the Chief Operating Officer and then as our Chief Executive Officer” says Chan. “We will miss his in-depth knowledge and insight and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Chan says the Board has engaged the Vancouver office of international search firm Odgers Berndtson to commence the search for a new CEO.  Chan also stated that “We greatly appreciate the significant advance notice given by Thomas as he will not be leaving the organization until June 15, 2012. This allows us to minimize any disruption as we search for a new CEO.”
