Telus is investing $7 million in new communications infrastructure in Abbotsford this year to meet the growing demand for high-speed Internet services, update every wireless site to increase data speed and capacity, and expand the reach of Optik TV service.
The investment is part of Telus’ commitment to invest $4 billion in B.C. through 2018 to bring advanced telecommunications infrastructure to every corner of the province, providing access to education programs, extending critical healthcare technology to more communities, and fueling economic growth.
“As the population of Abbotsford grows, so does its need for internet and wireless services. Our significant investment this year will build upon the sustained work of past years to continue increasing the speed and capacity of our networks throughout the city and surrounding areas,” said Jordon West, director of customer solutions delivery for the community.
