Terrace, B.C. hatchery volunteers receive vests

They come from the Pacific Western Brewing Community Foundation

VOLUNTEERS working at the Eby St. fish hatchery now have a new look thanks to Pacific Western Brewing.

The Prince George brewery donated vests for the volunteers in a presentation made by brewery representative Ben English.

The donation follows the establishment by the brewery last year of a $20,000 salmonid enhancement fund.

Volunteers at the hatchery have been raising and then releasing 25,000 coho smolts a year.

Initial support last year by the Pacific Western Brewing Community Foundation went to groups in Port Alberni and in Comox.

The vests come with a newly design Eby St. hatchery volunteer patch.
