City staff and Downtown Salmon Arm reps will be looking over the trees downtown, some of which are more than 15 years old, to try to come up with a long-term plan.
Concerns about how the trees obscure some awnings and signs, as well as an aphid infestation two years ago, were raised.
“We have to discuss it. I think we’re all in favour of the trees,” said director Bill Laird.
