Two Mission businesses make top 10 award finalists list

Valley Acrylic Ltd. is a top 10 semifinalist in the Best Employer category while K’pure Naturals was named in the Best Marketer category.

Small Business B.C. has announced the top 10 finalists for its year-end award program, and two Mission companies have made the cut.

Valley Acrylic Ltd. is a top 10 semifinalist in the  Best Employer category while K’pure Naturals was named a top 10 semifinalist in the Best Marketer category.

The Small Business BC Awards are the largest small business awards competition in the province. They recognize the outstanding achievements of B.C.’s entrepreneurs.

Three other Mission companies were nominated for awards – Rabab Indian Restaurant (Premier’s People’s Choice Award), Blanket BC Society (Best Community Impact Award) and Mission Arts Council (Best Community Impact Award) – but did not make it to the semifinals.

Tickets are on sale now for the 14th annual Small Business BC Awards celebration.

Attendees will enjoy drinks, appetizers and networking with B.C.’s top business owners, industry leaders and government officials as the winners are announced.

The event takes place on Thursday, Feb.  23 at the Pan Pacific in  Vancouver.

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and the ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m.
