The current status of the City of Surrey’s plans for the old Cloverdale Mall site, crime reduction initiatives and gateway signage will top the agenda at Wednesday’s Cloverdale BIA annual general meeting.

Member property and business owners are invited to attend the July 9 meeting for a review of the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association’s finances, along with a showcase of projects and activities taken on over the past year – and to learn more about what’s planned for 2014-2015.

City of Surrey representatives will be on hand to update members on the mall redevelopment, a Surrey City Development Corp.-led revitalization project called Cloverdale West Village, along with other long-awaited initiatives such as gateway signage for the historic town centre.

Cloverdale BIA president Lyle MacMillan said the association will also discuss a number of successful joint projects involving the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce, including Cloverdale Rodeo Days, the upcoming 11th annual Cloverdale Blueberry Festival, the Halloween Costume Parade and the Surrey Santa Parade of Lights.

There will also be a board election.

The meeting is open to members of the Cloverdale BIA. It runs from 7-9 p.m. at the Cloverdale Legion, 17567 57 Avenue. For more information call 604-576-3155 or visit www.cloverdalebia.com. The Cloverdale BIA is located at 5748 176 Street, Surrey.
