Using social media in small businesses

Social media and its benefits — and pitfalls — for small businesses will be the topic of a seminar discussing the key to effective social media marketing.

The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce is offering the presentation is Thursday (March 10) from 1 to 3 p.m.

Small business owners need to create their own social media tool box with the proper tools to reach the intended audience and the key things to be effective while using social media for marketing purposes.

“During this session we will discuss how to determine whether social media should be an important part of your small business marketing strategy,” explains seminar presenter, Mhairi Petrovic of Out-Smarts Marketing Inc. “It is important for small business owners to leverage social medial for business growth and prospecting.”

Using video equipment to see and hear Ms. Petrovic in real time, seminar guests will connect with local business people through Small Business BC in Vancouver giving them the opportunity to listen and ask questions that will help them to make the decisions that come with getting their story told.
