The Fraser Valley chapter of the Canadian Home Builders Association has a new president in Jonathan Zerkee, of Sonbuilt Custom Homes Langley.
Zerkee takes over for outgoing president Nathan Stone. He has been building custom homes for the past 17 years, and has been involved in the association since 2009. He currently serves as chairperson of the Builder Renovator Council, and is a leading voice in working with local community professionals involved in the housing industry.
“I am pleased and honored to be in the role of President of the CHBA FV,” he said. “My involvement in the association means a great deal to me, and my role as leader marks yet another unique chapter in the life of this group of members.
“I do not take lightly the responsibilities the members have entrusted to me. My goal for my time as president is to encourage our members and continue to grow and strengthen this Association – the voice of the residential construction industry.”
The mission of the CHBA FV is “to encourage professionalism and integrity in all aspects of the home building industry and to have a voice in government and community affairs where it affects our industry”.
Zerkee is certified as both a registered housing professional and a registered renovation professional. His company, Sonbuilt Custom Homes Ltd. was developed in 1995.
