“2007 was not the start of a recession. It was the start of a complete economic reset. Anyone waiting for ‘things to come back again’ will be badly disappointed. This is the new normal. In Up At Night we take a journey from the industrial age to the social age and explore the impacts on small businesses everywhere,” states Clemens Rettich.
The author will be at the Comox Valley Women’s Business Network September meeting Thursday at the Best Western on Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay.
The presentation will be loaded with insights and tips about what is required for a Great Small Business Performance in the Age of Pinterest, Zappos and days that just never seem long enough to do everything right.
Rettich communicates in a new business language that combines the discipline and creativity of the performing arts with the vocabulary of business. He will be available for a signing of his book, Great Performances, The Small Business Script for the 21st Century.
Those interested in pre-purchasing the book can visit www.greatperformances.ca/great-performances-weekends/great-performances-comox-valley-2013/
The meeting for Women in Business members begins at 5:30 p.m. in the main floor restaurant.
The group is hosting the Comox Valley business community with the support of both BNI Olympic Gold and BNI Momentum groups at 7:30 p.m. for the presentation portion of the evening. Doors upstairs open at 7 p.m. so the audience can network before the presentation begins.
Those wanting to attend the presentation only can approach either BNI group members or purchase tickets for $10 at Engrave It, Daryl Robbins CGA and Notary Public Offices and Rattan Plus Home and Patio.
