Vancity provided a $7,000 donation to the Community Association of Oak Bay to be used towards a welcoming pole at Oak Bay High

Vancity Mt. Tolmie branch manager Chris Tilden offers a $7,000 donation to the Community Association of Oak Bay, accepted by Kris Nichols, left, Gail Price-Douglas and Arifin Graham. The funds will go toward the association’s project to raise a welcoming pole, already designed and named Sno’uyutth, at Oak Bay High this fall. With this they have $22, 675 of the more than $80,000 needed (not including recent benefit concert at The Oaks) to fund the project.
